5 Tips for Planning your Family Photo Shoot

The time has arrived, 2020 is almost behind us! What has stood out to me during this year has for sure been the importance of relationships and how near and dear they truly are to us. Our family relationships are an oxymoron at best. They can be the thing that puts pressure on us and also the restoration to lift us up. Either way, they have been under a lot of pressure and we should celebrate our perseverance.

I don’t know about you but I am planning on putting up my Christmas tree next weekend, whipping out the holiday decor and blasting the music for as long as possible. I am truly looking forward to having unplugged, intentional time with my loved ones and perhaps even creating some new traditions and creating so many memories my heart explodes.

If you are one of the lucky ducks that is on our email list, then you my friend have already received this video I created about some tips to consider when its time to book that photo shoot. Even if you have already been a go getter and have booked and completed your annual family photo, my challenge to you for 2021 is to try using some of these tips next year to help lighten the load.

Are you more of a reader, here is a quick list of the main tips…

  1. Set your intentions - Know what you want to do with your photos when the photo session is complete.

  2. Find and hire a photographer that FITS your intentions + establish a budget.

  3. What are you going to where? MOM NEEDS TO PICK HER OUTFIT FIRST!

  4. Expectations - make sure they are within reason
